Waiting for the show to start, I couldn’t resist taking a shot of the fabulous ceiling in the Theatre Royal. Promptly got told off for taking photos inside the theatre after this… oh well I thought.. will be going back stage later so I’ll hold out with the photo-trigger-finger for now!
-
And here we all go – back stage awaits…
There was still loads of smoke from the dragon scenes – couldn’t believe that just a few moments ago, the entire cast from Shrek had been standing in this exact same spot.. -
Loads of exciting props all tucked away backstage. Like an emporium of cool goodies!
-
Got an eye to eye view with Dragon herself!
-
And.. this is puss in boots
-
Looking up – lots of gantries, cables and struts..
I didn’t realise how much space the stage and rear of the stage took up, it looks more compact from the seats in the theatre. -
And here is where the back of the stage … although it keeps on going back.. there are a couple of rows of props to the right and behind that a room full with all the actors and actoresses outfits for the performance!
-
Walking out through the stage door at the end – special perms for @igerslondon! woo!
“No visitors permitted back stage during the performance” -
So… what a great evening out with @igerslondon.
